# XML storage?

 * Are there plans to support storing content in the file system as XML (a la Syncato)?
   
   What are the modules that need to be modified in order to accomplish this? is
   the storage access functionality clearly isolated and can be modified, if one
   is interested in undertaking the task himself? Wordpress has become a mature 
   and stable system, with irresistible features, but XML storage opens lots of 
   possibilities.

 * WordPress is generated through php and **sql**. The closest thing to xml storage
   would be the rss feeds. As far as I know there are no plans to change the underlying
   codebase.
