# Xprofile fields

 * Hi!
 * I love the plugin in many ways and it’s oppertunities. I only ‘miss’ or I rather
   say: wish one thing: the user meta fields from the bp profile.
 * Unfortunately I have not the experience to create all the files or my custum 
   plugin from A to Z. I am willing to try out a lot but I need an example. Or a
   roadmap how to handle…
 * Can you help me out?
 * In my particular case I would like to add a trigger for example:
    _User Updated
   xprofile-field “Favorite Color’._
 * It sounds so easy…

 * Unfortunately, it only sounds easy 🙁 the process is quite complicated with all
   the moving parts eg. all the plugin integrations that are handling the user custom
   fields.
 * We need to correctly identify the process of profile update, check the old value,
   wait for the plugin to save the data, compare the values and then trigger the
   notification.
 * We have this task in our backlog for a while and new ideas come to us on how 
   to implement it but it’s still not enough and we need more time.
 * So the only way to do it as of now is to create a custom integration with a specific
   website. Thanks for your understanding.
