    Hi all,
I’ve noticed that the plugin has been giving me wrong feedback recently about my articles content. For example, i see Yoast says that I have only 20 words in my last article but there are 1573…It also says that images have not alt tags but they do have, and that there are no internal links but there are and they work.
Checking older articles it’s the same.
What’s wrong? How can I fix it?

    Thanks a lot 🙂

  • Can you let us know if you are using a pagebuilder plugin such as Visual Composer, Site Origin, Beaver Builder etc to create your page’s content? The SEO and readability analysis features can sometimes not work correctly if you are using some kind of visual page builder, as they can cause the page’s content to not be accessible to the plugin due to it being created outside the functions of the standard WordPress page editor.

Hi Devnihil, thanks for your reply.

Yes I’m using SiteOrigin on my site BUT the issue occurs on articles where I don’t use it.

    Thanks

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v8.3? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

If you update to the most current version of Yoast, does this resolve the issue?

This could also be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Yes Yoast has the last version but I had not updated some other plugins. Now they are updated and it works ok, althouh I still note some very small issues: when I check the content analysis, text with readability issue doesn’t highlight if I click on the eye. As for the rest, it’ ok!

If you’re now experiencing an issue with the eye marker, that would be a different issue then. So, we recommend you please submit a new topic and we’d be happy to assist you further.
