    Hi,

When I edit the home page with Elementor, when I click on the settings icon (bottom left, marked with an arrow) I end up with the full elementor area empty (area in the red square).
    Screenshot
Whatever I click on the top menu (settings/yoast seo, style/advanced) does not work.

I tried this with multiple themes, same behavior.

I was told it is related to Yoast and Elementor by the developers of my theme (PenciDesign > Themeforest from whom I have received really good support so far) and that I am the first customer raising this issue.

    — explanation provided by Pencidesign —
You can see this is the fields from Yoast SEO ( hooks by Yoast SEO ) to Elementor.

And Elementor has changed something in the latest version and make the Yoast SEO fields stopped to works.. Because it’s not the hooks from our theme. You can edit other elements on the right side on edit by Elementor, right? (YES)

Is this a known bug? How could it be solved?

    thanks!

    Hi @webstuff99

We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with using Yoast SEO and Elementor.

Can you confirm you are using the latest version of WordPress 5.7.1, Yoast SEO for WordPress 16.1.1, and Elementor 3.2.1? Are the rest of your plugins and themes also updated?

We tried testing it on a default set-up (WP TwentyTwenty theme, and only Yoast SEO 16.1.1 and Elementor 3.2.1 as the plugins enabled) and the Yoast SEO section within Elementor was loading just fine.

Are you seeing any JavaScript errors in red when seeing the blank Yoast SEO section within Elementor? You can check it out here — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

    Hi

thanks so much for looking into this.
I can confirm it was happening with just elementor and yoast enabled.

I just upgraded to Elementor 3.2.2 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Apparently it was a known issue (I found people having the same issue here https://www.facebook.com/groups/Elementors/) very likely related to the latest (now not anymore) version of elementor.

Thanks for your confirmation. We are glad to hear the issue is now resolved after updating to the latest version of Elementor.

As always, if you need further assistance. don’t hesitate to reach out again; we’re happy to help!

@mazedulislamkhan I think this issue may have resurfaced.

I’m running the following OS, browser, and wordpress plugins, all of which are up to date, but hitting the same empty elementor areas.

    Wordpress 5.7.2
    Elementor Version 3.2.5
    Yoast SEO Premium Version 16.6
    MacOS Big Sur v 11.1
    Chrome 91.0

    To recreate my error:

    1. Open elementor blog editor for a published article.
    2. Click the small settings gear at bottom left of dashboard
    3. Click the Yoast SEO tab

The contents are completely empty in here, even though it’s a full length article.

Is this the best place to file support tickets to Yoast’s dev team?

@appointletezra thanks for reaching out here. We are sorry to hear that you’re having the same issue as well.

According to the forum guidelines, you’ll need to open a new topic instead of replying to an existing post. That way, it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance without alerting someone else for your problems and debugging, when they don’t need it.

That said, you could submit a property bug report directly at our GitHub plugin development repository. We actively tracking bug reports over there.
