    Hi,

I am setting up the Yoast SEO extension and in the settings section, the tabs for features, essential settings, site representation and site connection do not open. I am blocked to continue.
An error message appeared: “Something went wrong. An unexpected error has occurred. We are sorry, it seems that the following error has interrupted our application: Invalid regular expression: /*$/: Nothing to repeat”

    How to do please ?

    Regards

    Karine

  • @chocolat46 We are sorry you’re encountering this error “Invalid reqular expression: /*$/: Nothing to repeat“.

Can you please let us know whether you are using the “BoldThemes WordPress Importer” plugin on your website or not? If you are using it, we recommend you try deactivating the specific plugin and check whether it helps fix the issue.

If the issue persists after deactivating the “BoldThemes WordPress Importer” plugin, often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
