 * Hi,
 * I’ve noticed Yoast strips off the https off of the canonical, I’ve added a custom
   canonical to test this, even changing the url completely to see if it was in
   fact Yoast doing this and it’s definitely Yoast processing this.
 * Ho can I change this so I can get absolute canonicals?
 * My site address in the settings is correct too.

 * Hi [@64tees](https://wordpress.org/support/users/64tees/)
 * The Yoast SEO plugin should use absolute URLs and not relative URLs for the [canonical URL output](https://developer.yoast.com/features/seo-tags/canonical-urls/functional-specification/).
 * Would it be possible for you to provide us with an example URL where this is
   occurring so we can try and check this?
 * We are aware of instances where another plugin or custom code did affect the
   URLs in the page source (changing it from absolute URLs to relative URLs without
   the [https://](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-strips-https-off-canonical/?output_format=md)).
