In reply to: [Presto Player] Vimeo private videos Unlimited bandwidthWe don’t have any restrictions with Vimeo on our end. But depending on your plan, you may need to upgrade your vimeo account if you use too much bandwidth:

In reply to: [Presto Player] video username watermarkWe are working on this feature for our Pro version. This won’t be directly encoded into the video, but instead will be a html element you can place over the top.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Vimeo private videos Unlimited bandwidthThanks for your question! Presto player does not host any videos – this is up to your webhost or, if you use one of our video source integrations (like bunny.net), they will charge you for this directly.
Of course, you can use Youtube and Vimeo videos in our player, too.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Presto and Vimeo Privacy?!Ah, so you want encrypted streams from Vimeo and Youtube? I don’t think this is possible. Youtube/Vimeo are in charge of transcoding and encrypting video streams, so we don’t have any control over this.

In reply to: [Presto Player] How to add/force quality video setting for youtube videoAh, maybe that’s the case. We don’t yet have support for that URL parameter in our player for Vimeo, but maybe we could add this in the future.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Great but updates are not thought outHey, sorry, didn’t mean to cause any offense. But I understand if you don’t want to share more about your process. Thanks for your feedback.

In reply to: [Presto Player] HTML5 support?Ah, I think you may be talking about an HTML5 animation? I know with ispring converter, you can convert to an .mp4 file, which will work with our player.

However, no video player can use the Hyperpoint export as this is an animation file and a special type of player is needed for this.

In reply to: [Presto Player] 3 questions before purchaseHi There,
1. Presto Player can work with many plugins. It’s a video player, so if your instructors are allowed to edit posts/lessons and upload files, then they can use Presto Player.
2. You can read more about the security features here:
https://prestoplayer.com/docs/video-security-features-explainedWe are also going to be releasing an update to support HLS encryption, which should be available in a few days.
Any specific questions, just let me know!

In reply to: [Presto Player] Great but updates are not thought outBut I guess my confusion is, if you only want 1 update a day, you could only update the plugin 1x per day. Just because you see an update doesn’t mean you need to update it. You can update the plugin as frequently or as infrequently as you want. You can even turn on WordPress auto-updates too and just forget about it.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Presto and Vimeo Privacy?!I’m not sure I understand your question exactly, so please tell me if I’m answering it wrong. s
S3 is a storage service, so it doesn’t have any security features built-in. Our two providers for private video are self-hosted and bunny.net (though s3 is on our roadmap).
We plan on combining HLS encryption with token auth with Bunny.net and the two together will make it difficult for users to download your video.
However, keep in mind, nothing is perfect. Even Netflix has issues with people downloading videos. But what we can do is make it as difficult as we can by layering different security features in the video. You can have all the security in the world, but someone can still use a screen recorder to record the video.

In reply to: [Presto Player] HTML5 support?Hi There!
When you are editing a page (or the media hub), add a “Presto Video” block and you can click “Upload/Insert Video”:

Then click “Upload Video” and drag or click to upload a .mp4 video to your site.

Then select the video and click “Select”:

In reply to: [Presto Player] Presto and Vimeo Privacy?!Hi Orabi,
We have some security features on the Pro version of our plugin. If you’re looking for in-depth explanations, you can find that here:
https://prestoplayer.com/docs/video-security-features-explained
We are also adding HLS, which streams videos in chunks, which adds another layer to make it harder for users to download.
However, keep in mind, no video is 100% private as there are browser extensions, etc. that people can use to download even secure video content (even from places like netflix, etc). And someone can also easily just record their screen.

In reply to: [Presto Player] HTML5 support?Hi There!
Yup! You can upload and play html5 videos (.mp4 has the best browser support). Let me know if you have any questions about this.

In reply to: [Presto Player] How to add/force quality video setting for youtube videoOf course! With Vimeo, we don’t have a switcher, since this isn’t something that’s available in their API. However, you can have the videos default to HD. If you have a Vimeo Pro or Plus account, you can change this setting.
Log into your Vimeo account and then click ME > MY SETTINGS > VIDEOS > FILE SETTINGS
In the File Settings, click both:
“Make my videos compatible with mobile devices”
“Always play my videos in HD, when possible”
When an option opens, you can click to “Also, apply to all existing videos.”Check it, click on SAVE AS DEFAULT button.
