In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Nowrap in colums?Great! This works! Thanks a lot!
More wants more: Would there be a way to exempt a certain column from that rule?
Also – all of this could perhaps be done in a tick-box?

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Nowrap in colums?I certainly read that, but no!
I want the column width to fit the longest line automatically and not have to tune it. The phase1 tuning I did would then actually be more acceptable to be than pixel widths.
However, will html support an automatic width setting like that? Is there a table tag for it? Or wouldn’t you rely on that?

In reply to: [Slideshow] Changing Size of slideshow>Have you encountered that problem on any other website before?
Well,.. not to the extent that I have noticed.I also see late downloads on some of my other WordPress pages, but not in the non-wordpress on the same url.
How multitreading is done in the different browsers I assume also would influence the responsiveness.
Thanks for the responsiveness!-) I’ll take another update or ten!-)

In reply to: [Slideshow] Changing Size of slideshowI have now updated Slideshow and set height to 600. Seems ok now, here: http://www.teigfam.net/oyvind/home/hobby/054-leduncle-stand-lamp/ and here: http://www.teigfam.net/oyvind/home/hobby/055-chest-of-swingable-drawers/055-1-chest-of-swingable-drawers-slideshow/. I have an impression that it was the Slideshow update that did the trick, since I had tried those settings.
But the pages seem unattentive to scroll etc. during loading of the slides. Also, this seems to take longer than expected. Could this be a problem with Slideshow, the browser (maybe only on Safari on OSX and not on Chrome on OSX) or rather a problem with the database connection at http://www.one.com (which host my page, and which has indeed had some problems). (And I have updated in a wp-config.php, see http://www.teigfam.net/oyvind/home/technology/061-wordpress/)
Are there any other good slideshow plugins out there that would be more stable? I have tried another one, and Slideshow was better than that one..

In reply to: [Slideshow] Changing Size of slideshowStefan, the pictures are still small. I tried several combinations, also with general settings. Which would rule? I fear the settings are not obvious enough, with partly conflicting statements. Like not proportional when I want a height. Proportional should be default always, with only one setting to tick it off, with no other conditions.

In reply to: [Slideshow] Changing Size of slideshowWhen I updated to the newest version of Slidshow today the slides became much smaller. They used to be width 900, and the settings did not change, which still says max 900.
See example at http://www.teigfam.net/oyvind/home/hobby/054-leduncle-stand-lamp/054-1-leduncle-stand-lamp-slideshow/
What happened and how do I resolve it? Delete and add pictures anew?

In reply to: IE8 picture scalingI see that IE8 (it was that version) scales both pictures and text, text linearly, but pictures are stretched to become high when IE8 does not think there is space enough in width. This happens “later” as the original dimensions (which may be downscaled in the img) get smaller.
I thererfore have reduced sizes by 60%, and it looks ok in IE8.
Another thing is that if the width and heights are too much, like 1200 x 1200, then IE8 stretches the picture in any scales of the screen.

In reply to: IE8 picture scalingI did make a child CSS file that set another colour to a paragraph style only.
I am using TwentyEleven unmodified.
However, I am not able to iterate to test things out, since I only have IE at work.
But this isn’t really “my” problem? Or is there something I have done wrong or just slightly wrong so that IEx gets confused?
I pity the IEx users..

In reply to: IE8 picture scalingWhere should I place that CSS entry?

In reply to: IE8 picture scalingblush.. It may be IE6 that I mean..(?) Thanks for checking it out for me!
Anyhow, I already had a complaint from a an IEx user, and the problem is still there for those users.

In reply to: IE8 picture scalingI don’t have Windows and IE8 available at home. Not checked.
But that sounds improbable, doesn’t it? I haven’t done any editing by hand, and WordPress 3.5 and pictures should be common practice?
My widths are 1200..
