In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Clicking settings does not workHello, egnatia
Thank you for your feedback!
We are currently aware of some minor issues with WordPress 3.8 and we are already working on updating the plugin. If all works smoothly, we should release the new version of the plugin in the next few days.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Scan always gets abortedHello, shivam kumar
Yes, that’s because you don’t have the corresponding json file for the WordPress version you have installed. We will add that file in the next update of the plugin.

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Major bug in MultisiteHello, Tevya
Thank you for letting us know about this problem. I’ll look into it and see what’s causing such behavior.

CostinHello, Alain
I’m truly sorry to hear about your problems, but…there are some weird things here…
1. you’re saying you changed the database prefix using the plugin, so far so good, can you please tell me the result of that action? Were there any errors? The plugin will let you know with a message right below the form telling you whether it successfully changed the db prefix or if there were errors doing it.
2. you’re saying that after the db prefix change you cannot see images in your website…and after you upload the backup files the images were showing again… now that is the most weird thing here, because changing the database prefix has nothing to do with the file system, so I fail to understand how the db prefix change could affect the file system….
In conclusion, if there were no errors reported by the plugin when you changed the db prefix then nothing should be broken on your websites, so these problems could be related to something else…
Looking forward to hearing from you

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Live Traffic $_SERVER variablesHello, stop-time
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated!
Best Regards,
CostinHello, Kathy
For the moment, this is not possible becasue there is no configurable option implemented yet.
We might implement it in one of the future versions though.

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Now get install errors due to htaccess = deny all?Hello, georgeireton
These settings are definitely not coming from the wp-security-scan plugin. We do not set any htaccess rules nor we alter htaccess files, so it must be an other plugin or theme that sets those rules.

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Live Traffic does not work…Hi, dsgncr8or
Yes, deactivating and reactivating the plugin (or reinstall it) do fix this issue that appeared with settings and the live traffic.
Good to hear all’s good now

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Alerts on dashboard don't reflect current settingsHi, Ate Up With Motor
That is indeed, very strange… I’m not sure what’s causing this strange behavior, can you please send me some more details like the errors from the error log or from the WP’s debug.log file if enabled at my email address: [email protected]? Maybe I can figure out what’s going on from them?
Thank you

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Alerts on dashboard don't reflect current settingsHello, Ate Up With Motor
I see no reason why those alerts won’t update…which alerts are those?

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Alerts on dashboard don't reflect current settingsHello, Ate Up With Motor
This happens because some of the alerts are running using internal WP cron jobs, for example every hour or every 8 hours. No need to worry 🙂

In reply to: [Acunetix WP Security] Updating plugin to version 4.0.3Hello, guys
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated!
@neeze: In order to help you I need to see the error log, or at least the error that produces this issue. You can pack it up and send it directly to me ([email protected]) or to support ([email protected]) and mention me in your email so they’ll know where to send it.
@bridgetwes: We are aware about the issues that might occur while updating the plugin on some hosts, so I really appreciate the feedback. In some cases it is not easy at all, if not impossible, to detect if anything went wrong after an update and an error message might be generated erroneously…

Costin
