@madhivanan thanks for your support! I had live chat with my hosting service provider. I told them of my problem and they tried replicating the problem there. But somehow for them there, wordpress was working just fine. They logged into my dashboard and tried opening customiser and other plugins and all was working just well. (They sent me the screenshots as well).
I now reckon that the problem is with my network (internet connection). Although there is no problem with its speed(40-45 mbps), but somehow sometimes it is not able to load wordpress well. I tried working with a different network connection. (hotspot of my mobile phone) and then problems seems to have been resolved. I am still not quite sure what this means. Although the problem has quite narrowed down now.
It might sound silly but do you think that the problem be resolved if I change my hosting server or something (maybe move to a new domain name)??
The Customiser is not actually ‘not loading’. It is loading but it returns a broken HTML page.
Any suggestions on how should I be proceeding?
Okay @madhivanan! So I had updated php from 5.4 to 7.1. I had then deleted wordpress for my domain from the c panel. I then reinstalled it. I deleted chrome from my laptop and then reinstalled it. After then I went to sleep. After I woke up, everything was working just fine (magically) :p
BTW @madhivanan, I had tried looking up modsecurity for my site through c panel. Under security in my c panel(where it is supposed to be present according to you and according to many other websites as I exploring it on the web), the modsecurity icon was just not present. I am not sure what that means and what should I be doing in this case.

After working perfectly for one day, suddenly everything went back to the way they were working before. 🙁
I have not downloaded any more plugins. Neither have I downloaded any new themes. In the morning, it was working fine. But after I started to work in the evening, everything was as before. (The customiser page not loading, elementor not loading, site loading speed is slow as anything etc etc.) I am not sure what should I be doing this time. Thanks you so much @madhivanan @macmanx and @jnashhawkins. Updating to php 7.1, then after implementing bits and pieces from your advices, my site now seems to work smoothly with the customiser working as intended on all the themes :). I am really grateful for your helpful responses. I am a beginner in this field and this was my first time using help forums to troubleshoot a problem. You guys made it a great experience. Thanks!

Yup! It is updated.
Thanks @macmanx for you reply! I have reinstalled wordpress for my domain so there are no other themes on it than those that come preinstalled. So oceanwp is no longer in the scene. But even with the theme ‘Twenty Nineteen’, I am not able to access the customiser.(It firstly takes a long time to load. And then it finally returns a broken HTML page of the customiser)

@macmanx I followed your advice and went on to check the php version. It was set at 5.4. Now I have changed it to 7.1 . I then reinstalled wordpress for my domain.
The problem kind of persists. @jnashhawkins you said that I should be able to open customiser for this theme. I am not able to do so. When I try now, it returns me a broken kind of page of the customiser.
Am I on the right track?

@jnashhawkins Thanks a lot for that reassuring reply. I will surely explore that tutorial. It seems really helpful. I should slow down a bit and learn some stuff first.
