    Hi James,

Firstly thank you for your reply. Did not know the 2024 template does that! From my youtube research (trying my best to research also) see that many templates apparently have starter templates now which is great

I will definitely look into this one as well as I thought the yearly wordpress template themes did not have many functions, so your suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again

Thank you Sharriar for replying and your suggestion. This is one of the short-listed ones from my youtube research (still finding my feet) where commentators have said there is a starter template which is something really helpful as are seeing there are quite a lot of themes that do this now, (all the more helpful for someone like me) and it is suppose to have a lot of options apparently in the free version, which is what we are looking for to start off with.

Thanks again for taking the time out.

    Appreciated

Steven, firstly thank you for replying. I think I will need more than one cup of coffee!

I will go through all the links you have suggested and try to move forward on this, if I need to come back on this, hope you won’t mind. Again thanks for pointing me in a direction going forward.

    Hi Jobayer,

Thank you. We are starting out on our membership journey and the support for this plugin is second to none.

    Rashed,

Many thanks and may I say the support is great!

    One quick question to end.

We want to use the free plugin because, firstly it will be our first membership site and from the research have found Tutor LMS is mentioned often. Secondly once our first membership site is up and running and working smoothly, will want to upgrade to the paid version of the plugin so that the user experience will be even better.

Therefore my question is with Vimeo from our research our understanding is the videos will be hosted on the Vimeo site and we would be able to embed the video url directly into the Tutor LMS plugin. Therefore doesn’t that mean whenever the product is purchased on our website they would only be able to ‘see’ the video and NOT be able to download it whatsoever.

This feature is important as we don’t want them to be able to download anything from the membership site.

    Thank you.

    Hi Dmitry,
Thank you for your response as were unaware of a LMS plugin.

Have looked a little more into the one you mentioned and it does sound good in terms of creating an online course on our website.

As this will be our first online course there are two questions we are still not quite sure about.

    1. I see for the Tutor LMS plugin videos can be embedded which is what we want so that no one can download them. Our digital training programmes have been converted to MP4’s.

Is this video format (MP4’s) is it something we would be able to ‘load’ into the plugin so that the content is view only online or do the digital videos need to be uploaded onto a third party site in order to make them ‘view only’ If so, which one would you suggest.

    2. Would we be able to add more different digital courses as and when we want to in the future on the same website, i.e., concerned about storage issues.

I am assuming this or any other LMS plugin will work on any theme as found some youtube videos suggest Astra theme works best with the Tutor LMS plugin.
This will be our first online course so apologise for the ‘newbie’ type of questions.
    Thank you.

    Hi Tahoerock,

I really do appreciate your feedback and comments.

I have decided to go with the Ample theme have had a look at it other than the fact it has a 4 widget area and Responsive has 11 I think at this moment in time it might be the best option for me. Have been looking at the best responsive site lists also.

I am not sure if you have ever used the Ample theme but I would sincerely like to thank you for your feedback.

All the best to you and your website!

    Kind regards

Thank you tahoerock for your helpful and prompt response. Very much appreciated.

I have been looking into this theme today, I am happy with this theme however, I am not keen on the fact that I would have to use css code whenever you want to change simple things such as the header menu for example etc or even a background colour and that my understanding is now I would need to make a ‘child theme’ (something I have never come across before) due to the coding I would have to be changing.

Would I need to keep changing the coding everytime I want to for example add a side bar on the left or a search bar, or want my latest blog posts with their titles to show, or have various different pictures scroll right across the top of the website instead of just on one side of it, have widgets and banners etc appearing on the side of the website and so on.

I am really looking for the best free user friendly, responsive wp theme, eye catching to the visitor but with with minimal coding.

I appreciate you having responded earlier but would be grateful for any feedback relating to the above points.

    Many thanks.
