Thank you very much for replying.
I created a test page on our live site to send you the link, but when I tested it, it was working properly – when the email was duplicate it was returning that the email already exists.
However, when I do the same locally – on Intranet – it hangs and times out.
My main aim is to get it working on live site – which it is.
But it’s good to know why it’s not working locally – perhaps it has something to do with the firewall?Regards,

Thank you very much for replying.
When I select ‘yes’ on ‘updating existing subscribers’, the subscription popup box works and the subscriber gets updated – but when I select ‘no’, instead of returning a message that the email already exists, it hangs and times out.
I’m using Boxzilla to create the popup box, and I think if I don’t want the popup box to be shown for subscribed emails, I have to buy Boxzilla premium.
But regardless of what I’m using to build the popup box, mailchimp should return a message that the email already exists, instead of hanging and timing out.
I appreciate if I get your help on this.
