Hello mparrella, i am a newbie to wordpress myself but from my experience i had a problem with my theme. I had the exact same problem after updating worpress3.9.3 to 4.1 and what i did i downgraded wordpress to 3.9.3 again until i redesign my entire website with a new theme. Thank you Matt, i managed to downgrade the WordPress version again that worked for me, now i will have the entire website redesigned with a newer theme, thank you very much for your help!
