Hi Brandon – thanks for following up. I’ll use the form like you recommended, and appreciate your help in understanding why this happened and what I can do to fix it.
So, today it seems that with Jetpack Comments still turned off, the commenting is now available on my blog.
Why would that be, when jetpack comments worked until two days ago? Is it ok to turn it back on now (or ever)? Anything I should do to prevent this in the future?
Good suggestion but no luck – still got the same error when jetpack comments were deactivated.
Any other ideas?
