Thanks. That hasn’t fixed it. I don’t want to add code to the site when I can easily insert line breaks – I don’t spend much time creating forms, so it’s only a minor irritation.
I’ve looked at it further and I’ve found that it’s a conflict with the plugin Register Plus Redux. Deactivate that and all the customise options work. I’ll post this on the plugin page as well.
Thanks. I tried several other plugins that support new user approval. They all had the same conflict, so it has to be classed as a bug in Cimy User Extra Fields, not New User Approve. The answer turns out to be to use Register Plus Redux which provides extra fields and new user approval, and no conflict with the post editor.
