In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize plugin conflicts with background imagesWell, I closed the Optimize JavaScript Code option, I know it is not thｅ best solution but it is OK for me, AO can still speed up my site without that. I am totally a newbie on such stuff, so I choose the simplest way.

Yes, I checked the option “Generate data: URIs for images?”, and also Exclude the plugin CSS from Autoptimize, but still did not change the situation, do not know why.

Below link is my theme template.css file(I do not know where to put your code, can you please take a look at the css file?) and the effect on a existing website(put cursor on “PRODUCT” and you will see the menu), I am using the same them, theme author said the menu can not be changed, so I can only ask plugin author foe help.

I found the child theme style.css file, I added your code into it, please kindly take a look at the picture from below link, did I write the format of your code right, did I miss any symbol?
the second picture shows the effect I need, can I make same menu as the effect if I added your code?

Thanks so much for your quick reply, sorry to say I am totally a newbie on coding stuff.
I have installed Menu Image, I clicked edit, and I can see code of the plugin, do you mean to add the code to menu-image/menu-image.css? But it shows as “inactive”.
What should I do?
