In reply to: WordPress already installed error?Sorry all those postings, I was trying to show code and couldn’t get the backticks to work. Anyhow, Just type in a plaintext editor, save it to your server and see if you get info about the PHP version on the server it means PHP is running. I was having the same problem as you. I reinstalled MySQL, deleted MySQL receipts, reinstalled, dropped tables, databases, ect. After doing all this I just happened to point my browser at the old site and to my supprise I was taken to the install page instead of the WordPress Already Installed page, go figure. Everything seems to be working fine now. So maybe try that or maybe even a different browser. I know it sounds weird but I’ve had some problems with Safari and serving content on localhost. Hope this helps a little.
