In reply to: Broken loginActually! Never mind 🙂 I worked it out…
I hope I don’t have any issues going forward. Thank you to you both for your wonderful help & assisting me when I was freaking out!
ThankyouForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken loginNo worries – I will try to get support through them.
Do you have any idea why the front site admin is now not working after changing the USL’s to https like the link you provided previously? The admin was working & I hadn’t touched anything on that site (I was certain not to) and since changing the USL – it comes up saying ‘The website encountered an error while retrieving http://natmedhurst.com.au/wp-admin/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly’ and I now cannot access Admin.
Sorry!

In reply to: Broken loginHi James – all was working & then I tried to do the first fix on that link – changing the URL to https & now it’s saying 404 & I can’t get into the front site’s admin again! This website is driving me insane…
I am don’t know if I need to start a new feed, but after working for a day perfectly fine on the new testing site (avid theme) it seems whenever I activate Fusion Core, it causes white screen of death, yet without this plugin the website doesn’t function as I want. This is the error I get when I set debug to true – Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use
__construct()
instead. in /home/natmedhu/public_html/new/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3619Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken loginAlso – all of the images uploaded to this site are broken?

In reply to: Broken loginI’ve logged into hosting/database & can see there are 3 databases.
1 – natmedhu_wrdp1 is what ‘front’ sites config file is saying
2 – natmedhu_natmedhu is what ‘testing’ sites config is saying
3 – is just a test.1 says 1.2mb
2 says 12.64mbIs this a super bad sign?
I’m not sure what you mean by creating a few config file. As stated above I am a beginner with stuff like this.

In reply to: Broken loginNot that I am aware of.. I have been working via FTP for some things but don’t think I’ve touched anything on the front site. I haven’t logged into front site’s admin at all.
But yes the front site is the one that isn’t loading & isn’t allowing me to login.Does it sound like I have inadvertently done something to the front page? If so – have I managed to delete everything? I don’t know if anything was ever backedup from her front site. Crap. Now I am REALLY freaking out.

In reply to: Broken loginI had just had a look at the error log & can see as of today it is saying;
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/natmedhu/public_html/wp-config.php on line 22Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken loginI didn’t set up the test site that’s the thing. It was set up by someone else & then I got the login details only a few weeks ago. I literally was given the test site all set up with a theme & I just started customising the theme. So although I’ve been working on it for the last few weeks – it’s only been since yesterday that the front site has disappeared. Before that, whilst working on test site, the front site was working & functioning perfectly.

In reply to: Broken loginI’m sorry – I don’t quite understand what you mean?
I haven’t touched anything on the front page that’s what I am saying – I had only been working on the wordpress site under /new. Yet the front page is now no longer working.
I have the details to log into her hosting & can see the MySQL databases, is this what you mean?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Broken loginWhen I load it on chrome is says.
Server Error
500
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://natmedhurst.com.au/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.if that helps?

In reply to: Broken loginWhen you say go through the motions of deleting/re-uploading… is this going to damage any login details? This front website, which I am trying to get back – I haven’t ever logged into it as I was only just sent the login details this morning. I have only been working on the /new wordpress files and because up until yesterday, it was working – I don’t have to break anything that was working (up until today).
I guess I am just wanting to make sure that if I do this – I am not going to completely delete or ruin anything.
Also, if I do this, do I remove the ‘new’ folder also or just all of the other files in the the /html file?

In reply to: Broken loginThanks for your help so far James. Unfortunately I have already disabled all of the plugins & still nothing. It’s still just loading as blank page both front end & admin section.

In reply to: Broken loginSorry! I did manage to login to the myPhPAdmin as per your link & have followed all those steps.. Now the site is only loading a blank page? http://www.natmedhurst.com.au

In reply to: Broken loginWhen it comes to the testing website – that was setup by someone else so I’m not sure I want to play with that.. But I’m not a pro (really only a beginnner) with wordpress & as I am freaking out – I’m not sure I understand what you mean about chaning the siteurl. Is that in hosting or wordpress? As I can’t even get into the wordpress backend of the working site. natmedhurst.com.au/wp-admin takes me to the no update required & then takes me (now) to a coming soon site on the /new.
I’m sorry for sounding a bit slow – I think the combination of being a beginner & freaking out has confused me a lot.
