 * Hi [@pb_86](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pb_86/) ,
 * We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience with the latest update.
   Our intention was to streamline and improve the plugin, but we acknowledge that
   the changes have not met the expectations of many of our users.
 * Regarding existing tasks, they will continue to run, and we are actively exploring
   ways to enhance task management in future updates.
 * Our team is working diligently to address the usability issues with the new interface.
   In the meantime, you can roll back to the previous version while we make these
   improvements. You can download version 4.1.7 [here](https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/advanced/).

 * Hi [@svensson36](https://wordpress.org/support/users/svensson36/) ,
 * We are very sorry to hear that version 5 has been a disappointment and that it’s
   impacting your workflow on customer projects. Our intention with the update was
   to streamline the process, but we understand it hasn’t met the needs of many
   of our users.
 * Regarding the one-click database download, while it’s not immediately available,
   you can still back up your database by navigating to the Settings page and using
   the dropdown in the backup history section. We acknowledge this isn’t the exact
   experience you were used to, but we are working on making improvements in this
   area.
 * Our team is committed to delivering an updated version that retains the straightforward
   functionality you and your customers have appreciated. In the meantime, if you
   prefer the previous version while we work on improvements, you can revert to
   4.1.7 [here](https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/advanced/).
 * We thank you for your patience and hope to regain your trust with future updates.

 * Hi [@greenbluesky](https://wordpress.org/support/users/greenbluesky/) ,
 * We’re truly sorry to hear about your frustration with the recent update. Our
   goal with version 5 was to streamline the backup process, but we understand that
   it removed many of the features you relied on.
 * We want to assure you that we’re actively working to address these issues and
   improve the product from the ground up. We’ve already reintroduced custom scheduling
   options and backup history, and backup file formats are being restored this week.

   We’re also planning to remove the two-job limitation, allowing you to create
   and edit unlimited backups. These changes aim to restore the flexibility and
   control you expect from BackWPup.
 * In the meantime, if you prefer the previous version while we work on improvements,
   you can revert to 4.1.7 [here](https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/advanced/).
 * We thank you for your patience and hope to regain your trust with future updates.

 * Hi [@dcjsaun](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dcjsaun/) ,
 * We’re really sorry that the update hasn’t met your expectations. We understand
   how important it is to have full control over your backups, including compression
   formats and folder selection.
 * Our goal with the update was to simplify backup management for new users, but
   we recognize that in doing so, we removed some of the advanced customization
   options that many users relied on. We are committed to bringing back a lot of
   the functionality and usability that our users previously enjoyed.
 * We appreciate that having only a read-only mode isn’t sufficient for managing
   your previous backup jobs. That’s why we’re actively working to restore the ability
   to create, edit, and schedule backup jobs as needed.
 * Regarding the ZIP compression option, it’s currently available through our helper
   plugin, but we’ll be bringing it back as a built-in setting in the next few days.
 * If you prefer, you can use version 4.1.7 for now while we continue to improve
   the current version. You can download it from [here](https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/advanced/).

 * We’re really sorry for the issues you’re facing after the update, and we appreciate

   the plugin menu appearing for non-admin users will be fixed in the next release.
   We understand how frustrating this can be, and we’re actively working to refine
   the experience.
 * We’re also working on bringing back the ability to create and manage multiple
   backup jobs, so more flexibility is on the way.
 * If you’re still seeing these warnings or experiencing role-related issues after
   updating, please reach out so we can take a closer look and help resolve them.
