I’m just writing to let others who might bump into the same problem know that this issue was solved and it was probably a server issue due to using a temp. Once I used my domain name and launched the site all got sorted.

I disabled all the plugins (except the Kirki ones) and still running into the same issue. Both the featured posts repeat and also the logo and header image I set, does not appear (instead I have the image that came with the theme).
Any other ideas?
