I understand that. Would it be possible to make it optional to track their email? Maybe just track a Customer ID? Or no need to track any details about the costumer at all? (Speaking in the context of free downloads)

You can send them the download link directly via the Purchase History Menu. That link doesn’t expire if I am correct.
