Hi Cais,
There was a hack I made some time ago to make the cropping work which it appears doesn’t work with NextGen 2.0.
I’ve managed to negate it using CSS now and it works a treat. Using an adaption of this method:

Thanks for the support!

Hi Cais,
I wasn’t trying to be obstructive, quite the opposite. I thought a before and after tag was the most valuable resource. I have upgraded to 2.0.40 again to allow you to see current status.
http://basicmonkey.net/blog/ is a link to the blog page, showing some cropped images (these are static featured images) and some full height (nextgen sourced).
If you could kindly have a look and advise I would greatly appreciate it. I’ll resort back to 1.9.13 after you’ve looked just to keep things tidy!
Best wishes,
James
Hi Cais,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Those aren’t links but are the img tags generated when using the different versions of NextGen. The first img tag is generated for featured images using 1.9.13, this works and shows the cropped image of 740×350. The second img tag is generated when upgrading to 2.0.40, these images show at their full size, uncropped.
I see a 740×350 in the URL but it doesn’t seem to crop.
The URLS are snipped to avoid spurious trackbacks and spam.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I can do some screen grabs if this helps.
Cheers,
James
Any ideas incredibly welcome. I fancy the premium version but only if I can get the basic version working first!
