Unfortunately, contacting Elegant themes for help is not an option. My membership has long expired and they are unable to provide assistance to non-members. The problem never occurred until I updated to WP 4.3 so the problem reasonably falls on WordPress. You were correct, the handheld plugin was causing the error message on the dashboard, so I deactivated. * I’m still a little unclear on the RSS issue. I tried it on Explorer and it worked fine. I tried it on Chrome and I got the XML data stream you mentioned as being normal. So my question is, do RSS feeds only show up when they are being viewed on a RSS feed app/website like Feedly, etc? The links you provided are some of the very articles I have read. What I’ve gleaned from them is “clean your files” but my issue is that I’m not perfectly clear on the specifics of how to go about cleaning these files with my limited knowledge. I’m hesitant to start whacking away at things and accidentally delete something I need, but I guess I have no choice but to try it and hope for the best.
