Never mind, again posted too quick. Resolved it.

For others who might encounter the same issue: checkmarking ‘display author’ in the options isn’t enough, you also have to checkmark ‘display meta information’. Perhaps the ‘display author/date/category’ should be hidden or blocked as long as ‘display meta information’ is unchecked though.

I have already partially resolved it. I have gotten the sidebar to work. Only on the BBPress page the custom sidebar is not functioning, but I’m sure I’ll find a way to work around that too. I am unable to delete this thread though. Feel free to delete this thread admin.
