In reply to: visual editor and comments not workingSo I am guessing no one else has this problem or has any idea why it’s happening. This is the second time I have tried to ask for help on the forums about the comments and the second time I haven’t had any replies.

Everything was fine on Sunday. What the heck happened to suddenly break my blog??

I don’t really know a thing about php so if a file corrupted anywhere (somehow) I wouldn’t know where to look. But I have tried to replace all comment-type files and still nothing happens.

my host has finally informed me that YES they did disable auto_url_fopen and they suggested I use libcurl and gave me this link:

I really have no clue when it comes to pho, so I apologize. But if you can point me in the right direction I can get it to work (hopefully!) 🙂

I was just able to try it out now since I was away from the computer since I last posted. only it didn’t really work. I was able to delete a couple of the plugins I wanted to, but for a couple of others (like the WPPM itself) it still tells me I have no permission to do anything to the files.
I did everything you said I should, but it still didn’t work. And I know my host seems to have odd things about it (like when you were trying to help me with the Image Headlines plugin) so maybe it has something to do with that?
But thank you for taking the time to create that plugin to help!

In reply to: my comments have vanishedThanks, Moshu! I had forgotten to update the permalink fields in admin. I did that and it’s working now. And I used that guide for installing the index.php this weekend. It worked great until I tried messing with my .htacces file. Although things seem to be working fine now that I fixed it in settings.
lawtai – I am currently using the WP 1.5 Default theme until I teach myself how to make a new one.
I swear I am not normally this dim. 🙂
