This plugin works both with fastcgi_cache and proxy_cache.
When you press flush plugin searching cached files in nginx cache dir and tries to delete them.
Probably your php script has no sufficient rights to delete cache files.
Same thing happened!
It was very painfull update 🙁
All my sites were screwed up by showing the same content.
