 * Hi [@ronnyk1988](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ronnyk1988/) thanks for
   reaching about about DMS 🙂
 * The plugin currently supports Subdomain Authentication (only for subdomains of
   the site’s primary domain) as a PRO feature, and we are working on Alias Domain
   Authentication for release in the next 30 days or so (which will include any
   subdomains).
 * However, this is a support forum only for the free plugin, so if you would please
   kindly contact us on our support page, we can continue the discussion via email
   about any paid features.

 * Otherwise, I’m happy to answer further questions about the free version here
   🙂

 * Hi [@tcingenium](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tcingenium/),
 * Thanks for reaching out about Payment Page.
 * When you say “Then I have configured the messages and the email that sends and
   receives the emails.” – what exactly do you mean? As we currently don’t yet have
   a method to customize the payment confirmation email.
 * This would be important to clarify and ensure perhaps that you’re using a different
   email screen than what our plugin offers on the payment form builder?
 * Looking forward to hearing from you.

 * With all due respect, I do not think that screenshot illustrates a sufficient
   notice/warning to users that a plugin will be installed.
 * Most users want to get to the core functionality of your plugin (WP Mail SMTP)
   quickly, and will skip through the setup steps to make that process quick/easy.
 * Of course, everyone should read what they’re doing on their site when setting
   up a plugin, but given the fact that you’ve received quite a few negative reviews
   and support tickets about this issue, it’s pretty clear that some kind of change
   should be made. Would you agree?
 * I would say the problem has a lot to do with the fact that people are being misled
   by the black title that is written really nicely and says “Smart Contact Form”–
   so they ignore the lighter gray subtitle/description below it that explains more
   about what that means.
 * I could suggest a few things to prevent further negative reviews and support
   tickets:
    - Unchecking that box for Smart Contact Form by default. It’s not part of the
      core functionality of your plugin and therefore should not be checked by default
      in my opinion. Other highlighting or promotion would be fine.
    - Change the black title to say “Install WPForms Plugin” or something similar–
      to make it obscenely clear what is going on.
 * I hope you’d be willing to consider one or both of these changes, as it’s quite
   frustrating for me to have had to deactivate/delete the WPForms plugin on the
   70+ sites I manage when I’m just trying to quickly set up WP Mail SMTP and don’t
   want anything else. I also would love to avoid having to uncheck that box 70
   times 🙂
 * I’m glad to know the source of the problem now – I’ll be sure to uncheck that
   box moving forward when setting up a new site, but I don’t feel this issue is
   resolved until a change is made with improving the clarity of what’s happening
   during the setup process in terms of installing other plugins.
 * I also have plugins on the wp repo – and we optionally give the user the chance
   to install any required/suggested plugins in the UI. In fact, we require users
   to manually click a button to install any other plugins, even though other plugins
   are required for some of our plugins to be used.
 * Since WP Mail SMTP is not a required plugin, I would request that the clarity
   is improved so users do not unwittingly installing more plugins than they need
   to have, potentially slowing down their site, wasting time, etc.
 * Looking forward to hearing from you.

 * Sorry, I don’t have time to troubleshoot this with you. I’ve already found another
   plugin that works perfectly for this. However, clearly these are bugs others
   are complaining about, so there are things you can do:
    1. Implement a warning about caching plugin incompatibility.
    2. Triple check how your plugin is storing it’s password…I noticed it was even
       plain text in the database which is not good practice. Encryption and storing
       it properly are probably the issues.
    3. Test out the bugs others are also mentioning in your support forums that I’ve
       mentioned here. It’s not a coincidence multi people have the same issues.
 * Thank you anyway, and I wish you the best of luck. I won’t be replying here any
   further.

 * Resubmitting the robots.txt with a different method in Google Search Console
   worked. They’ve changed their system in a way to make that submission process
   more opaque.

 * Hi Shane,
 * Thanks for reaching out and happy to jump in. Your use-case should be working.
 * To analyze more deeply, is it possible you can share WP-Admin and FTP credentials
   for the development site? Please take a backup as well.
 * If you can share those details to [support@gauchoplugins.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brandonfire/replies/support@gauchoplugins.com?output_format=md)
   that would be the most secure way, and we can jump in and assess what’s going
   on.
 * It could be a subdirectory detection issue, and we need to be able to confirm
   your configuration.
 * I’ll mark this as resolved for now, pending your email to our support channel.
 * Looking forward to hearing from you.
 * Best regards,
 * Brandon

 * Hi [@ronanwni](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ronanwni/) thank you for reaching
   out about Domain Mapping System.
 * I’d be happy to help troubleshoot further. When you say “not working correctly”
   what do you mean? I just want to ensure we’re on the same page. Does it redirect
   to the primary domain for you? Or does it show broken page contents? For instance,
   when I visit the subdomain, I get a broken page that looks like this:
    [https://capture.dropbox.com/CAlOEgGODLFbUAio](https://capture.dropbox.com/CAlOEgGODLFbUAio)
 * Based on our Troubleshooting Guide, it might be a number of things for either
   option.
    [https://docs.domainmappingsystem.com/getting-started/troubleshooting](https://docs.domainmappingsystem.com/getting-started/troubleshooting)
 * What I would suggest is to please read the guide, and let me know if that resolves
   anything.
 * If the guide does not help, please email the information requested at the bottom
   of the guide to us at [support@gauchoplugins.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brandonfire/replies/support@gauchoplugins.com?output_format=md).
 * I would also be happy to go through it on a 1on1 screenshare to get it all working
   properly. I can share the booking link for that via email if you can reach out
   to us that way.
 * Looking forward to getting this working for you as quickly as possible. I will
   temporarily mark this ticket as resolved for now, assuming you may reach out
   via email, but please feel free to reopen it by replying here.
 * Best regards,
 * Brandon

 * Hello [@twain47](https://wordpress.org/support/users/twain47/) thanks for reaching
   out and bringing this issue to our attention.
 * Our lead developer is on the task, which will also require some updates for compatibility
   with PHP 8.0.
 * Please expect an update which should handle the fixes in the next 1-2 weeks at
   most, and likely sooner.
 * I greatly appreciate your patience in the meantime. This is one of our top priorities,
   and we want to ensure adequate testing is done before releasing the update publicly.
 * I will mark this ticket as resolved for now, as the next update will handle it.
