Same problem.
The site itself doesn’t have any large files. The entire site is about 60MB – 70MB. However, when I go to “wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/tmp/” there are several “gzipbuffer.1.php” files in excess of 300MB.
I can consistently bring the site down by trying a manual back-up but bringing it back is a bit more elusive. It seems like when I go back to my host and have it verify the address to my WP site, then it works again. Any ideas? I would like a better back-up solution than FTP to my HDD.
BrentI’m having the same problem as desktopepics. I did duplicate the problem and fortunately I was able to get my site back each time. The issue definitely is related to the manual back-up. Not sure how or why it but the manual back-up triggers the problem. Would like to get this working if possible. I can send in the error log if that would help.
I have a similar issue. This plugin has never worked for me. The back-up runs for days but always fails. When I run a manual back-up it gets to about 46% and then takes my site down. This has happened twice. What I’m left with is the WordPress install page. Files are still on the host but my site is down. This is really unacceptable. Host is StartLogic.
Any ideas on what I can try to get this working?
