Hey @aminerouchiche ,
Thanks for taking the time to review us and sharing your thoughts!
We’ve just deployed an update of our editor, we’ve added quite some extra information to some actions. This is also the case for the Viber button action.
Can you check if your phone number was entered without a
+in the phone number? Then it should work πIf you have any further feedback, make sure to let us know! We’re currently trying to make a lot of improvements and making it easier to use Buttonizer π€
Hey @chupaoor , we were wondering if you have seen our reply above π
Hey @zoli90 ,
Thanks for reaching out and your interest in Buttonizer!
We’re using the original Facebook Messenger widget, if Guest Mode is supported by Facebook, then it should be supported via our plugin as well π
Currently page rules are not available for free users, if you have any questions about them, please open a support ticket via our own support community or our contact form as due to the WordPress Forum Guidelines we’re not allowed to help you with commercial functionalities on this forum.
However, we have plans to make them publicly available in the future. So stay tuned for that π

Hey @chupaoor ,
Thanks for reviewing us, we’re really sorry to hear that! We’re doing our best to minimalize our the bundle and keep everything as fast as possible.
Your pagespeed score dropping with 10% is certainly not what our goal is (as we love conversions) and I’d like to let you know that we will investigate what we can do to improve that.
I’ll try to reply in as much detail as possible π
Regarding FontAwesome
This is a setting you can turn off in the site settings in the Editor. There’s a toggle inIcon librarywhere you can turn off importing the library on your site.Perhaps we can tackle this issue by asking if someone is already using FontAwesome on their site when publishing their buttons for the first time. We’ll see if we can improve this and added it to our to-do list.
Regarding ‘unused JS’ in Lighthouse
The metric in Lighthouse does not actually mean the JavaScript is not used, but the JavaScript file can be shorter as parts are currently not in use on that specific page. We’re actually already investigating in lazy loading parts of our bundle as some parts are indeed not used on some sites.
Earlier this month we started trying out lazy loading code inside our editor to see if this impacts the user experience. We saw a huge bundle improvement and it didn’t seem to impact the user experience.
This mean that soon we’ll start experimenting on our frontend bundle size as well (the
embed.js) to improve loading speeds and minimalizing the bundle.Perhaps, is it possible for you to contact us via our Buttonizer Community (by opening a ticket) or by contacting us via our contact form on our site? We’d like to ask you a few further questions, have you updated on these improvements and hear if our improvements will actually help improving the pagespeed.
Hope to hear from you soon, thanks in advance π€
Hey Chris,
Thanks for your reply. No problem at all π
I’ll mark this topic as resolved for now, but make sure to update us when you try it out. We’re really curious if this actually solves all your concerns and if you have any feedback left.
In the meantime, if there’s anything else, make sure to let us know or open a ticket π€
Hey again @chris29888 ,
I was wondering if you have seen my previous reply? Hope to hear from you soon π
Hey Piet,
Thanks for reaching out!
We’ve done some research for you and found out both WhatsApp and Skype do have call links available, but slightly in a different way.
For a while now, WhatsApp has a feature where you can generate a call link which people can join. However, I think this is some kind of group feature and it does not limit the users who can join the call. Unfortunately, there’s no direct link to WhatsApp to call a single person (as far as we know of/we can find now).
Skype does have this feature, if you use the Skype button-action in Buttonizer and add
?callafter your username or phone number, Skype will call the number when the user clicks the button. The easiest way to accomplish this with WhatsApp is to direct the user to the chat and let them manually call you when a conversation has started.
Let me know if this helps π
Hey @chris29888 ,
Good news! We’ve released version
3.3.0with a new plugin setting calledGPDR: Wait on consent. No requests will be made until a function has been called from any GPDR-plugin.We have more information about the functionality on this page: https://community.buttonizer.pro/knowledgebase/1426
Are you able to try it out and let me know what you think? We did add some Borlabs cookie steps, but I am not very sure how accurate they are.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Hey @dmorgav ,
Thanks for taking the time to review us. We’re very sorry to hear that and hope to be able to help you out in a way.
Could you perhaps let us know what happened? If you have trouble after migrating to v3, there’s a feature to rollback and restore the previous settings in the Buttonizer settings.
If you need support, please open a private ticket via our Buttonizer Community: https://community.buttonizer.pro/tickets
This way we can help you the best. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please make sure to let us know!

Hey @chris29888 ,
Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Great to hear that, then I know we’re heading the right direction! We’ll try to update the plugin soon.
Still though, and this might be a stupid question, given that Iβm not a developer, isnβt it possible to locally embed the 2 files that are currently being loaded via the external CDN? (embed.js and frontend.css)
‘Stupid questions‘ don’t exist π
This is actually (sort of) possible: there are a few caching plugins like WP Rocket that do cache external files from CDNs. The only thing is that from time to time you’ll need to clear the cache as the cached files will stay behind the updates we push to our CDN.
In that case only the API is the part that is that hit our server.
However, I think the JavaScript solution is the easiest and best way as it won’t import our JS until consent has been given.
Wouldnβt it be enough to connect to the Buttonizer servers only while making changes to the currently implemented buttons and then have them create 2 static, local files once the WordPress admin clicks βSaveβ?
In some situations, there’s some backend logic on our side which handles the callback before generating the widget list (for example, how the widgets perform or when/where buttons should be visible).
Hey @chris29888 ,
Hope you’re doing fine. Thanks for revisiting this question and bringing it back up.
Apologies for not getting back to you any time sooner. To be honest, we hadn’t thought of any solution until last week.
The following solution is what we have in mind
We’ll add a switch to our Buttonizer plugin settings to only load in Buttonizer script in the frontend when a specific parameter is set for these situations. This parameter should be triggered via the plugin that manages the GDPR/Cookie part. Does Borlabs cookie also support executing some JavaScript when giving consent via the admin dashboard? Or only using their JavaScript API?
New GDPR information page available
Since my last reply, we now have also added a GDPR page where we try to answer all kind of questions, such as what data is being collected and what not.You can check out this page here: https://buttonizer.pro/gdpr/
We’ll soon update our plugin and link to our GDPR there as well.
Let me know what you think π
Hey @carmenoana ,
Thanks for your reply!
Yes of course, you can open a private ticket via our Buttonizer Community. We will help you troubleshooting the issue.
I’ll mark this issue as resolved and wait for your ticket π
