I’m currently using the plugin WP ProGrid or the Visual Composer extension Post Layout with carousel to display my posts. I’ve added the code

add_post_type_support( 'thirstylink' , 'thumbnail');

To my theme’s functions.php but unfortunately it didn’t work. I’ve also tried it on the defaults themes like Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Fifteen but the thumbnails are not showing up. Is there somewhere in particular i should place the code? it was placed below ‘add_theme_support’. I’d love to see it working, it would be the perfect solution for wordpress affiliate websites !
