In reply to: CC Child Pages: Can list wrap to columns?Hi
I’m not sure why I didn’t see this … it doesn’t seem to appear in the support forum for the plugin.
The plugin now supports lists in columns, but don’t forget that you can now also choose exactly what will appear in the standard blocks. By showing just the titles and thumbnails, and selecting to make them both links you could probably make quite an attractive page.

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Columns for List Style?Hi Anna
Looking at your test pages, it looks as though you may get better responsiveness by listing in 2 columns rather than 3 or 4 … the pages have a lot of space taken up on the right-hand side by what looks like 2 sidebars, which squashes the list up even more when the width of the page is reduced (I’d normally expect the sidebars in a responsive theme to drop to the bottom of a page in very small windows, but that’s a feature of the theme).
Removing one of the sidebars or reducing the number of columns in the list will allow things to resize a little more elegantly.
I also get odd results viewing your test pages in Internet Explorer 11 under Windows 8 – it seems to always drop back to emulating Internet Explorer 7 and I have to tell it to render the page as version 11 to see the columns!!! Most strange.

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Columns for List Style? Thanks for the feedback …
I’ve been tweaking the CSS for the lists in columns, and spotted that I’d added an unintended declaration effectively adding a margin to the top and bottom of list items. I’ve corrected this and will release a fix later today.

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Excerpt is showing htmlI’ve revisited this problem, and could see from visiting your page that the problem seemed to be CSS code showing up. This is embedded within
<style>tags (e.g.<style>.css_styles { display:inherit; }</style>).What was happening was that the opening and closing HTML tags were being removed, leaving the CSS to be treated as actual content. As you rightly concluded, defining a custom excerpt stopped this from showing up.
I have changed how excerpts are generated when there is no custom excerpt specified … hopefully this will stop this problem.
Thank you for using CC Child Pages

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Columns for List Style?Hi.
Sorry to have taken a while to get back to you.
I’ve been testing some additional CSS to allow the list view to be shown in columns. So far it is looking good, but I will finish testing tomorrow and hopefully be able to release a new version that will do this for you.

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Excerpt is showing htmlThat’s got to be one of the fastest fixes ever … ;-D
Seriously though, the original version of the plugin created standard excerpts where none was specified … and I got so many requests to allow HTML that I re-wrote that part of the code.
Looking back, I should make this an option … so for the next release I’ll look at adding a parameter allowing users to choose whether or not to allow HTML (
html_excerpt="true|false"perhaps).Thank you for pointing this out.

In reply to: [CC Child Pages] Wrong special charactersHi again Wubi
I’ve had a quick look, and have released a new version of the plugin with a couple of other changes that I had been storing up.
I’ve not been able to reproduce the problem here, but have made some small adjustments to how the
moreparameter is parsed which may help. Please let me know whether or not this has solved the issue on your site.
