 * Hi,Adrian,
 * Thanks for respond to my question. Really appreciated!
 * I have the vanilla installed under my wordpress installation. it runs well by
   itself.
 * I use that link to set up the wordpress configuration in the Vanilla Forums plugin
   Setup page and get this error: “Couldn’t find a Vanilla Forum at this url :/”
 * I use “WP Vanilla Connect” to set up SSO and vanilla take the wordpress user
   fine.
 * and here is my cURL info:
 * cURL support enabled
    cURL Information 7.29.0 Age 3 Features AsynchDNS No Debug
   No GSS-Negotiate Yes IDN Yes IPv6 Yes Largefile Yes NTLM Yes SPNEGO No SSL Yes
   SSPI No krb4 No libz Yes CharConv No Protocols dict, file, ftp, ftps, gopher,
   http, https, imap, imaps, ldap, ldaps, pop3, pop3s, rtmp, rtsp, smtp, smtps,
   telnet, tftp Host x86_64-pc-linux-gnu SSL Version OpenSSL/1.0.1c ZLib Version
   1.2.7
 * is that “AsynchDNS No” a problem? if it is, do you know how can I make change
   to that value?
 * you said: 4) Does PHP have cURL enabled? (just *having* curl isn’t enough, it
   needs to be in the copy of php actually running web requests)
 * do you mean I need to set up something in the php.ini file, what is it and how?
 * Thanks!
 * Bob

 * Hi, Adrian,
 * that doc refers to two possible causes of this issue:
 * 1) cURL is not installed on server
 * 2) server blocked/disabled loopback
 * in my case, none of these are true. I have cURL 7.29.0 enabled and my server
   have loopback info like this:
 * lo Link encap:Local Loopback
    inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::
   1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:65536 Metric:1 RX packets:4159687 errors:
   0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:4159687 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:
   0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:437219929 (437.2 MB) TX bytes:
   437219929 (437.2 MB)
 * it seems I have everything but I still get this error:
 * WordPress › Support » Plugins and Hacks
 * Vanilla Forums
    “Couldn’t find a Vanilla Forum at this url”
 * any idea?
 * Thanks for your attention on this matter.

 * hi, Salami
 * I am interested your solution to this problem.
 * I had searched the internet for long time and never be able to get a good answer.
   There are information about cURL, loopback set up on server side, I have all
   of those but I still get this error.
 * when you say ajax js,do you mean the vanillaforums.js file in the vanilla wordpress
   plugin package? could you refer to the exact change that we could try?
 * Thanks!
