 * However, I am looking to use nextgen for this and would like to make the thumbnails
   link to a URL.
 * I will also be using Nextgen for a photo gallery on the site.

 * Thanks for you input but It did not resolve the issue.
 * As far as I know the [nggallery id=x template=caption] should automattically 
   add the caption in the V1.1.0b of the NetGEN plugin.
 * Does anyone know if there is anything else to achive the desired caption below
   the images?
