Thank you for the detailed explanation and for taking the time to respond to my query @jamesosborne . However, I’m still a bit unclear about the next steps.
Could you please clarify
what actions need to be taken to make this work as expected?•Should we take any specific actions on our end?
•Should Site Kit or CookieYes make some changes to resolve this?
•What exactly would be the recommended solution in this case?
I’d appreciate your guidance on how to proceed so we can get this issue resolved.
Thank you once again for your support and time.
Hi James,
We reached out to CookieYes Support regarding GA4 tracking when users reject cookies.
Here’s their response: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/need-confirmation-on-cookie-consent-behavior-on-gates-scotland-website/We want to get clarity on below points:
- What exactly is “Consent Mode v2 modelling”?
-> How does Google model aggregated data for users who deny consent? - Does Google Site Kit automatically enable or support Consent Mode v2? If YES how?
- If Site Kit doesn’t currently support it, what is the recommended setup to ensure that GA4 still receives aggregated, anonymous signals from users who reject cookies (while staying GDPR compliant)?
Hi CookieYes Team,
I’m currently using the Free plan of CookieYes on my website. I’ve noticed that when a user denies cookie consent, their visit and events are not captured in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) at all.
I understand that CookieYes blocks non-essential cookies until consent is given, but I’d like to confirm something:
If there is any option or a way where it will allow me to capture limited or anonymized GA4 data even when a user denies consent — or will those users still remain completely untracked by design?
I want to make sure I understand how CookieYes integrates with Google Consent Mode v2 across the different plans, and whether upgrading enables more advanced tracking or reporting options related to denied consents.
Thank you for your help!
