I will look further into this, i will also check with WooCommerce itself. Valid point it starts with the status changes, not specifically the payment.

Harsh to say “If this were a Stripe plugin issue, we would have a massive number of reports given the immense size of our user base.” but understanding.

Any tips to get me further are welcome. There is no clue to what is triggering this.

This issue is really keeping me up at night. I contacted the web hosting, they are not experiencing duplicate requests.

The problem still occurs to this day. Out of 164 orders, there seem to be a total of 4 with this problem. It plays up sporadically and there is no string to it.

Also debug logging was activated, when i look back at an order from january 6th is see nothing special:

Keep in mind that what is frustrating me, is that there is not a proper answer to my topic. Even if the answer is not clear at the moment of research, do not let it bleed out. Issues are normal, all programs and software have bugs, but the way you solve them makes a change.
