 * The issue was All in One WP Migration, I copied my site from one host to another
   and the database migration didn’t transfer the wp_termmeta table in the site 
   database – i copied the wp_termmeta table from my new site db (as its a generic
   WordPress table) to the old site db and all is now working.
 * FYI – for anyone looking here, WooCommerce version 4.6 and later use the wp_termmeta
   table, prior to version 4.6, it uses the wp_commerce_termmeta table.

 * I just wanted to say Thank You! Thank you for sharing the resolution to the problem–
   i have been tearing my hair out over this problem for days.
 * I used All in One WP Migration to copy my site from one host to another and had
   the same problem – i copied the wp_termmeta table from my new site db to the 
   old site db and all is now working.
 * FYI – for anyone looking here, WooCommerce version 4.6 and later use the wp_termmeta
   table rather than wp_commerce_termmeta table.
