In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] URGENT: cronjob scheduler not running automaticallyThanks, the action you’re running, what kind of action is it performing?
As a debug if you echo out and test in the browser that’d help to determine if it’s being hit at all.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] URGENT: cronjob scheduler not running automaticallyHi,
Have you setup an actual cron task that is pinging the cronjob scheduler every minute?
Chris.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Changing a setting periodically with cronHi,
You could write a script that ran every minute or hour – depending on how you require. The script could then determine what needs to be changed based on the day and perform that action automatically.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] 16 default 1 min schedulesHi,
This plugin is a GUI for WordPress’s native cronjob scheduler. It is possible that another plugin has setup a 1 min schedule multiple times and this is causing the issue. Nothing to worry about in particular though.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] converting wgetUnfortunately it still needs something to fire the Cron tasks. Without anything visiting the site Cron tasks won’t be fired at all.
You could however use that Cron job site to fire the schedules for you no problem. However I reckon you might be best finding a host that offers Cron itself. Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] converting wgetHi there,
Unfortunately you’ll also need a cron job schedule to run this. Do you have access to cron at all with your hosting provider?

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Cronjobs with WordPress 5.5 and last run of cronjobYou need to configure an actual server side cron task to make sure your schedules are firing. Please refer to the docs.
If you have a cron schedule setup, double check it and make sure it’s actually triggering.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Cronjobs with WordPress 5.5 and last run of cronjobHi,
Thanks for your message. The plugin hasn’t actually been tested for WordPress 5.5 yet but the core functionality that the plugin uses hasn’t changed, so I can’t see a concern with this. This plugin is essentially just a user interface for WordPress’s native task scheduler.
Currently, the only way you can tell if a cronjob is running is if the next run time keeps incrementing. If that isn’t changing or is stuck at a date in the past, then the cron task won’t be running.
Hope this helps! Chris.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] cron job does not workUnfortunately we’re not support for your particular website. You’ll have to resolve this one yourself.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Error Scheduled Events Have FailedThere is something wrong with the hosting environment this website is on. You shouldn’t be getting loopback errors like you are.
This likely explains why you are having issues with the plugin in the first place.
That’s all the help I can give I’m afraid as the problem isn’t related to the plugin.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Error Scheduled Events Have FailedIt sounds to me that the environment you’re hosting on has some bigger issues.
You’ll need to get those sorted for anything to work reliably.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Error Scheduled Events Have FailedOnce everything is configured properly then it will work and run schedules automatically yes.
Has all the setup been followed and a specific Cron task configured to run automatically?
Chris.

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Error Scheduled Events Have FailedHi,
You still need to setup a cron schedule/ task / crontab so that the plugin can process every minute.
I hope this helps!

In reply to: [Cronjob Scheduler] Urgent: What do I do about Action Exists = “No”Good suggestion, I definitely think it could be clearer, especially given the support questions I’ve had over time.
I’ll get that amended but as I say, it’s nothing to worry about.
All the best,
Chris.
