In reply to: [Oxygen] Use with "Custom Author Byline" pluginI’m marking this topic as resolved as I think the compatibility issue lies with the Custom Author Byline plugin and not with the (Hybrid-based) Oxygen theme.

In reply to: [Oxygen] Use with "Custom Author Byline" pluginI have since discovered that this is because Oxygen is in turn based on Hybrid, and uses the Hybrid shortcodes, which bypass the custom author byline settings.

In reply to: [Co-Authors Plus] Getting Co-Authors Plus to work with OxygenI’m running into a similar issue with the custom_author_byline plugin.
I can probably apply a similar fix, but I’m working with an Oxygen child theme and I don’t like modifying core theme files. Is there a way to redefine this function, perhaps in functions.php?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Max Magazine] Max magazine appearance issuesNo need — I think I understand now that Max Magazine does the stretching if you don’t use images that have the perfect ratio. Not great, but that’s how it works.

In reply to: [Max Magazine] Max magazine appearance issuesHow did you fix the image stretching, BTW? I’m running into the same problem.

In reply to: [JW Player for Flash & HTML5 Video] 1.6.1 Update Sluggish Page LoadsI can confirm that 1.7.1 fixes this. Thanks for the quick action.

In reply to: [JW Player for Flash & HTML5 Video] 1.6.1 Update Sluggish Page LoadsJust want to report that I too have issues with the 3.5 + 1.6.1 combination. Downgrading JW to 1.6.0 helps.
Chrome gave me “ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED” errors on every page that has JW Player, suggesting some issue with encoding/decoding. Page loading was extremely sluggish, as reported above.
Thanks for looking into some of my suggestions.
Not all my remaingin suggestions were to do with improving the EBD logging.
I’m still having the issue that EBD downloads are not actually logged by DM, which seems to me to be really contrary to the whole idea of building a plugin on top of DM.

In reply to: [Add From Server] admin panel is not opening after installationThis is marked as “resolved” but it’s not really resolved as long as the plugin itself is not updated. I strongly suggest that the author looks into this and issues an update; otherwis many more people will run into it. And not everyone can or is willing to edit the plugin code.
This is a WordPress setting. Use the Mail From plugin.
(Gentle bump — I know you must be busy with many other things, but did you see this last post of mine?)
After reading through the docs I have decided to use the {hastime} conditional, which is false for all-day events and so allows me to hide times for all-day events.
Aha, great! Might I suggest though that the default markup be more semantic?
Anyway, this has me run into a next problem: the field doesn’t appear to accept characters like en-dash or em-dash (–, —).
For instance, the date part of the format/layout is currently like this:
#_{d/m/Y} #@_{- d/m/Y}If I try to change the dash separator there to an en-dash, the template is not parsed correctly and the second date is not outputted. At first I thought that I might need to set this in the “date separator” field, but it looks like whatever I set there is not filtering through to the date format in event listings.
Hi there, thanks for the update. I have seen the screenshots and got it working this way. Here are two specific suggestions that I hope are not too difficult for you to implement:
1. Make the multiple downloads scenario work just like the single download — i.e. multiple inline links without the need to check boxes. This would be more helpful I think for many use cases.
2. Support the Download Monitor (DM) custom formats for the inline links. This should be possible to do if you can pass the DM shortcodes, which are well designed. Essentially Email before download would act as a wrapper around Download Monitor, asking for an email before the download but otherwise using all relevant DM settings, including (custom) formats.
(Well, at least the first should not be too difficult…)
Dan, I would be interested in your mod. I only need one template and I’m the only one creating new sites so it sounds like I’m looking precisely for what you did here.
