That’s too bad. Changing the default language would be a nice option….
So if I understand correctly: once the default is set (to NL in my case), you should never change it?
Then why is there an option to change the default language in /wp-admin/admin.php?page=falang-language if it causes problems? This options suggests that I can change the default language at random.
The site is was set up in NL and now the customer want the default language to be DE.The translations are not the issue. If I switch from NL to DE with the language switcher, everything works fine.
But if I change the default language from NL to DE in the admin and then go back to the root of the site (/), everything shows in DE, except for the navigation and the custom post types. These are still in NL.Same for the custom post types! In Falang Settings >> Translate Options, my cpt called “Certifications” is checked and they are all translated.
But when switching the default language from NL to DE, the cpt’s are all shown in Dutch instead of German……Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Falang multilanguage for WordPress] Language switcher is buggyLooks like it has something to do with my custom theme. I installed a WP default theme and the problem disappeared…..

In reply to: [Falang multilanguage for WordPress] Language switcher is buggyTurns out the “Display of dropdown” option does NOT do anything visually (no extra <UL> or something) . Is this because of a faulty theme?
