In reply to: [XML Sitemap & Google News] sitemap-news.xml still pendingFollowing up, when I’m in News-Tools -> Troubleshooting -> Articles, and I enter url/sitemap-news.xml in Section URL and Article URL of the newest article, I get in Status – Failure: Permission denied
OK, think I found a discrepancy. In Google News Publisher Center, the client has the url with “www.” and in Webmaster Tools, the url’s do not have “www.”

In reply to: [XML Sitemap & Google News] sitemap-news.xml still pendingYes, this has been going on for a while. I submitted the sitemap-news.xml a few days ago. Settings>Writing shows that Google has successful pings for each sitemap.

I’m going to check in the Google News Publisher Center to make sure everything is ok there.

In reply to: [XML Sitemap & Google News] sitemap-news.xml still pendingThanks for taking a look. I have both the sitemap and news sitemap added to the Search Console, no errors detected in any of the sections.
If “Pending” meant that the spider’s waiting for fresh content, that would be good. But the “Pending” status is under the Processed column, so I don’t know if how to tell if that sitemap’s been acknowledged.
The biggest test is that my client says that they’re not seeing any of the new posts in Google News when they input their site and look at the results. And the absence of the new posts corresponds to when they moved from SquareSpace to WordPress, and were trying to get results from Google News. According to them, when they posted on SquareSpace, those posts would immediately show up in Google News results.

Google no longer requires a three-digit unique url.

Thanks! I’ll take a look in the site root and remove it.
Do I need to add anything with the robots.txt file?

In reply to: [iOS images fixer] Compatibility with Pods Framework?Scott, thanks for your attention in this matter.
In this site’s setup, the photos are user submitted and they are located in a separate folder, i.e. wp-content/themes/CCLASS/uploader instead of wp-content/uploads.
I’m continuing the work of a previous dev. There was a custom pod set up in the Dashboard for user submitted photos, named “Ad photos.” The media content of the site’s pages and posts are located in the Media folder, but to access the user submitted photos, I have to go to the pod, where only the image URL’s are displayed. I assume that this was how the previous dev created the template.
I can send you the URL to inspect the site as well as credentials.
