I’m not sure that my post was clear enough. Sorry.
I’m the lead French translator of All-in-One Event Calendar. I’ve just finish to translat 1,160 strings using GlotPress and now it’s 100% on GlotPress.
My post intend to inform you that there is a bug with this string (the word: event):
This word is used in the slug. Like in the example above.
I’m not sure it’s a good workaround to use another plugin to correct the bug.
We talked about this topic on the WordPress-FR Slack. The conclusion is that we must:
- translate (in French) this string by “evenement” (without accent)
- then regenerated the permalinks in Settings / permalinks
You should add an article to the FAQ to explain this.
A better approach would have been to place the translation of this string in the BO. This way user can choose the string, and knows the process to avoid 404.

I get the picture.
Actually, when clicking on Support it opens a new tab that hide the page you’re talking about.
That’s not very UX… If I may say so.
When clicking on the #2 it goes to a page that says:
Get Help Get Help is only available for users with an active calendar or WordPress plugin. If you have a WordPress plugin installed and are getting this message, be sure to sign in to the Timely Network found in the Settings page of your plugin.I signed in. But no support.
Sorry I don’t understand how it works.
Plus: The support page is not translatable. Strings do not appear in the translation system.

It seems that translation is not completely implemented.
In order to use the translation you’ve to download it from https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/postmatic
Then you put it in /wp-content/plugins/postmatic/lang/Postmatic-fr_FR.mo and .po
And a happy new year. 🙂

Strings are validated by PTE – Project Translation Editor. They do it pro bono. You can contact the PTE of a translation to ask him to validate.
