Checking in again, I understand how difficult it can be juggling dev and support. It’s beginning to look like this isn’t going to happen though, if not please let me know so I can look for alternatives.

I can certainly disable heartbeat in code, but I’d be keen to manage it using the plugin if possible.

It’s odd that this has happened now as I haven’t updated any snippet code for months, but I presume that it’s a conflict caused by a theme of WP version update?
At least I know where to look for the issue now 🙂

In reply to: [Heartbeat Control] Rules don’t saveSame problem here, disabling Elementor didn’t help, by disabling all the plugins one by one on a staging site I discovered that the Buddypress plugin was the one causing the issue. Bit of a problem when it’s a social media type site.
