In reply to: [Track The Click] User TrackingTrack The Click doesn’t store any personally identifiable information, so you are not able to use it to track individual users. It does store a timestamp for each click which is what you’re seeing on the statistics page.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Follow internal linksThat’s great – would you be able to share what settings you changed? We’ve had other people report similar issues and would love to be able to tell them how to resolve the issue.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Follow internal linksI think you are seeing a problem with the JavaScript for Track The Click being deferred by an optimization plugin. Are you using one of these, and could you try disabling it? Do reply and let us know and we can investigate further.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Links hosted elsewhereHi Simon. Track The Click can only track clicks by people already on your website, not by people linking to your website. I think you’re wanting to track referrers to your website, which we’d previously have said was a function of something like Google Analytics, though I haven’t tried the new version 4 so can’t promise but would expect it to be in there somewhere!

In reply to: [Track The Click] Follow internal linksHello. That’s exactly what Track The Click is for 🙂 Have you tried it out yet? You might need to look in the settings section and remove your own site from the exclude list under the Other tab.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Useable by editorsHello, and thanks for trying Track The Click. We would need to make adjustments to show the menu to users at a lower level than administrator. I can see how this would be useful, so I will add it to our feature list but can’t give any timeframe on when this might be implemented.

In reply to: [Track The Click] track anchor links within the same pageHello. That should work fine, but I’d be happy to take a look at the page in question for you if you can share a link here or by email to [email protected]

In reply to: [Track The Click] Clicks belonging to adminsHello and thanks for using Track The Click. We’ve had that suggestion a few times, including most recently here. At the moment it’s not possible to exclude these users but we will look to add it in the future.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Exclude logged-in usersI’m afraid we don’t have any PHP to exclude logged in users at the moment. As soon as we look into this and get it working, we’ll release it as an update to the plugin.
