Hi WCat,
That’s totally true! That’s one of the reasons why our Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer plugin has never supported Amazon.
Amazon’s Product API Licensing Agreement is very restrictive in terms of what you can, cannot and must do.
And because of their restrictive license, we decided from Day One that our Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer plugin would not have the ability to import Amazon products into your WooCommerce store. It was not been a popular decision but it was a necessary one.

Glad it’s working now!
If a product contains a string like “made in the usa” or a variation of that, then you can search based on that keyword phrase. One caveat though, our plugin doesn’t work with WPEngine.
