Ok, this is weird… A customer placed an order at 3:24 pm yesterday, and at 3:31 pm he placed another, separate order. Oddly, no shipping was charged to the first order, only to the second one. I can’t see any pattern in this, it appears to be a random problem.
It’s not a display issue. I have it set to a flat shipping charge, and it’s simply not adding it. I don’t use coupons or other discounts.
Also, when I checked today I found that all users except for admins were gone. However, I have a copy on a staging site, and it appears that none of the affected orders were made by registered users.
I’m using Print Invoice & Delivery Notes V 7.1.1 and I’m getting automated updates.

However, all it seemed to do was to check the box to automatically open the shipping address field. It will still not be required information, and it will not show on the receipt.

I don’t even know how to get to the code. All I have ever done with my website has been through the HTML interface.
Sorry, that flew right over my head. I have no idea how to do what you suggested, so where do I look for it?
I’m 64 years old and run a small business, so I’m doing it the old fashioned way: I print the labels manually by copying and pasting from the order into Word, so I don’t use any features or plugins in Woocommerce for that part. Then I take the packages to the post office and punch in the tracking numbers manually when I get back. In other words: It’s very basic.
I haven’t installed any email plugins, I’m just using the standard setup in Woocommerce. For reference, these are the plugins I have installed. There are some I don’t really use (see notes) and they can probably be deactivated or deleted.
