Yes free works absolutely fine – please read the link I sent you – it has all this information.
Thanks
Hey there, you are looking at the docs for Search & Filter Pro… the docs for free are here:
http://docs.designsandcode.com/search-filter/
The free version is drastically different from pro as pro was rewritten from scratch.
In the next month or so, I will be porting over the S&F Pro codebase and making this available to free users – so some of the benefits of pro will be added to free 🙂
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Search & also a blog pageHi there
Yeah with S&F Pro you can create separate search pages with their own configuration/settings (different post types, incl/excl categories and taxonomies etc).
Then you can use a shortcode to define exactly which pages it appears on or use a template from you theme.
Here is a link to the docs about displaying your results and different options:

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Suggest in searchHi there
This is not yet available in S&F but something I’ve been thinking to add.
I haven’t tried to combine S&F with other plugins like above so I wouldn’t be able to comment on compatibility.
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Click more than 1 category in checkboxHey there
I’ve not had time to look at this, we’re late releasing S&F Pro 2.0 so all resources are dedicated there.
Once we have finished this release we will be implementing an update for S&F free where this issue will be fixed.
Thanks

Max, if you are getting this on 2014 also then lets continue over on our forums and see what else the problem could be.
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] TaxonomyHi there
To answer your questions – all of your points revolve around theme customisation.
So,
1) to get your search checkboxes per line, you must use CSS – it is possible, but may be specific to your theme
2) to change the layout of your results, you must customise the template files in your theme, so that they show 2 rows for example, and to chnage the length of the result is also a template modification.
3) did you check the docs, the
operatorsoption? http://docs.designsandcode.com/search-filter/#optionsThanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Click more than 1 category in checkboxThis is strange, I’ve done some tests using default themes, non default themes and don’t seem to ahve these same issues you are having.
@delkhanna – this plugin should work with any taxonomy – my suggestion above was only to test with a 3rd party plugin that was known to be compatible – as it turns out it doesn’t make a difference – so there is something else at work here.
At the moment, I’m providing very limited support to the free plugin as there is a new version in the works, and with that there will be substantial changes to the codebase – which will surely overcome these issues.
The next version of S&F will be based on the pro plugin and currently in Pro these issues do not exist – so I am confident they will be resolved.
If either of you have a link I could look at I can try to make a recommendation.
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Remove "All" option from radio and dropwdownHey Brollan
Its not, you can change the text here but you cannot remove it.
You could try removing the options with CSS or JS on page load.

Hi there
I think you need to apply the fix listed here:

I’ll be including this in an update in not too long.
