In reply to: [Search & Filter] Custom taxonomies not filteringThanks macnetwork – I’m providing very limited support for the free version atm until it gets a large update.
If your template has a custom query in (
WP_Query,get_postsorquery_posts) then this may be interfering with the search results – you could try removing this. Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Using plugin search and filter form as widgetHey both
The widget is available in pro, however you can easily add this as a widget by adding the shortcode to a Text Widget area – it should work just fine there.
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] rtlHey Adier
I don’t see any reason why not, however I’ve not tested it – if you want the pro version I will make sure to help you get it working with RTL so that I can say I officially support it 🙂
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Search for articles marked "private"Hi there
This is not officially supported in free, however you could use
pre_get_poststo modify the search query and add this in.Alternatively, you could go pro (which supports this) – http://www.designsandcode.com/forums/forum/search-filter-pro/

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Problem filtering by single taxonomy termsHey @tkhan
The pro version is a complete rewrite of the free so you should not expect these issues. As the pro is a lot more advanced we have stopped using WP pretty urls – because after adding complexity it is just not practical
So what you need will work, however just to make you aware your URL will be more like:
wordpress/?_sf_style=bold&_sf_industry=creative+photography(We must prefix all vars for compatibility with other plugins – in this case
_sf_)Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Only search in specific category– just re-read that,
So Questions and Answers are categories? As per above you can include / exclude categories from you search results so should be no problem there.

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Only search in specific categoryHey Yourdigihands
Apologies, the free forums have kindof been neglected for a while due to some large work coming to pro (and trickling down to free also)…
So to understand, Questions and Answers are custom post types?
And you would like to build a search with say a dropdown for “A” and “B”, and you would like to make sure that this search is only performed in questions?
This is definitely possible – you can restrict the search form with hidden settings (not available to the user) – such as CPT, taxonomy, tag, category so you can limit what the user is searching.
Dev edition allows unlimited number of sites to be developed.
Thanks

In reply to: [Search & Filter] Post Meta ValuesHey Fi fi
This should go over in the pro support forums (I’m assuming you’ve purchased)
https://www.designsandcode.com/forums/forum/search-filter-pro/support/
If you can’t remember your details just do a password reset – you signed up when you purchased the plugin.
Thanks
