In reply to: Show Comments by DefaultIs this impossible? Is it beyond everyone?
Seriously, I’ve been trying to get an answer to this for days now. Nobody seems to know–or, if they do, they’re not telling.
I don’t know where else to go for help.
OK, I got some great support from the theme author. Apparently the plugin wasn’t written to support downloading from a particular pool. So he tweaked the code, then had me download that new version and change the sidebar code to:
<? php flickr (“75739074@N00”, “4”, “pool”); >Now it’s working great.
FYI for anyone else who may run into this issue.

In reply to: Need help with sidebar widget & Glyph themeThis theme is based on Wuhan, so if anyone can point me to a widgetized version of the Wuhan theme, I might be able to figure it out on my own.
Thanks!

In reply to: Add Blog Content to Static Page?Thank you, Moshu. That’s helpful… kind of. Our company site will have only a right sidebar for the dynamic content (blogs and news). I expect we’ll use a topic/date line and the first sentence or two from the post, then have users click “Read More” to take them to the post page.
Would the wp-blog-header work best for this application?

In reply to: Add Blog Content to Static Page?Hi. Found this thread when searching for the exact same issue. Given that this answer is almost two years old, is it still valid, or is there a better/easier way to incorporate a simple news/commentary function onto a static home page?
Thanks!

In reply to: Alternative to DIV in PostsEm.. OK, I’m slowly catching on to this.
I created classes for the two different styles, then used SPAN. For some reason, though, neither BOLD nor STRONG would work, even though the text color was displaying correctly. So I finally just increased the text size by 10%, which gives me the effect I was looking for.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Positioning Search BoxSpeaking of customizing the search box, how do you change the width of the button? I’ve tinkered, but have only succeeded in adjusting the width of the box, which also resizes the button. Is it possible to resize the button independently? I’d like to make it smaller and centered under the input box.
Barring that, is there a way to use an image instead of a button?
Thanks.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Alternative to DIV in PostsOK, I downloaded jsquicktags… Uh, what do I do with it now? (Couldn’t find any instructions in the zip files.)
Thx.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Alternative to DIV in PostsDIV is inserting the extra line? Hmm. Why would it do that? It doesn’t work that way in straight-up HTML, does it?
Root, can you explain what you mean and how to use it?
Thanks for your responses.

In reply to: No plugin.php fileThanks for the info. From the link you provided, it looks like upgrading it manually may be a bit buggy. I’m going to ask my hosting service to upgrade it on their server before trying anything else. They’re usually pretty responsive, so hopefully it will happen soon. 🙂
I’ll probably (almost certainly) be back for more help soon. 🙂
Cheers
