Is the XSS vulnerability only present in v1.16.8 or is it present in 1.16.7 also?
Any updates on the patched updated version?
Thanks
The older version patched a vulnerability:
Security: Patched XSS vulnerability allowing contributors to run unfiltered JavaScript.
Thanks for looking into this. I can confirm that it works with PHP 7.4 and WP 6.0.2 so it looks like it is related to older versions of WordPress below 6.
I am following this up directly with the developer. Thanks again for the speedy reply.
I can confirm the website is using PHP 7.4.
The website is using WordPress 5.6.9.
The issue does not seem to happen when the latest version of WordPress 6.0.2 is installed. The site in question has some plugins that are awaiting full 6.0.2 support.
I have discovered that the issue is related to Better Notifications for WP 1.9 and not NinjaFirewall and impacts all notifications. I will follow up with their developers.

In reply to: [SpeakOut! Email Petitions] Plugin Broken? Signatures not displayedI had the same issue. Deactivating the plugin and reactivating fixed the issue.
To confirm the version you are using follow this guide:
Thanks I tried that but I am still getting the same error. It is refusing to accept the correct Captcha input. I use your plugin on lots of sites and have only had this issue when an SSL certificate is installed and a login is attempted in HTTP.
This is not the case here so I am confused at why it is happening.
In the meantime, I have switched it off and just limited logins to my IP in .htaccess.
Thanks.
