I’d still love to find out how to add pages *on install* to a theme, so that when I click on Pages, they appear beside or instead of the “sample page”?

In reply to: Changing Default Template for ALL set upsYep… but the problem is, even though that’s the default set, the system still created new sites with the twentyten default. (Stupid, it must be hard coded somewhere – which if I recall it is, but I couldn’t find it).
In the past I’d tried deleting twentyten and setting the new theme as the only theme there and default, and then every site I created was totally blank. So – this would be something that would be great for the guys to fix!
Anyway – I found a plugin I bought from premium.wpmu.org a little while ago that sets everything properly, and I mean everything 🙂

The problem is, it still appears in the menu as well.
All I want to do is hide it from the menu, while keeping the content on the front page as already done. Possible?

There is no “mu-plugins” with the new 3.01 network version?
Would I just put it under the usual wp-content/plugins?

WP is the only script I ever have some issues with… but what bothers me is that obviously I’m not the only one.
Here’s a suggestion:
If it fails, MAKE the system REMOVE the maintenance mode and put the site back at least!
Now it’s totally offline, and I have to wait.

If I leave the site for a few hours and come back – the admin is BLANK AGAIN!
I have the most SIMPLE template (theme) on it.
Everything worked.
I was in teh admin, I was in the main site, I reloaded numerous times, I left.
I come back after 3 hours of being out, and the admin is blank again!
WHAT is going on??
As you can see, I’m not the only person having this.
Frankly I’m about to roll back to 2.8.4. This has set me back 2 days now 🙁
Any ideas?

PS – you can SEE the really simple design at http://www.dime-co.com/index2.php/ which obviously has no “real” content on it… but when I log into the admin, it goes blank. And yes, I have it set to 64 meg, not 32.
